Virginia State University
VSU has a meat goat program. They have
not updated their website in a couple of years, but do have an annual field day which is usually
very valuable. Contact information is on their website....Contact Stephen Wildeus.
Dr M.W. "Tookie" Myers, DVM
If you are in Tidewater, VA
do yourself a favor and use Dr. Myers. He is the ONLY vet in this area that has
proven to us that they have some solid experience with goats. He will work with
you and we trust him. We do a lot of our own vetting....but we always get a herd
check from Dr. Myers to insure we are on the right track.
